Basil Hayden Cognac Cask Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ML

Basil Hayden Cognac Cask Reserve is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that finishes an approachable high-rye bourbon in French cognac casks, resulting in a beautifully balanced and refined spirit. The cognac cask finishing imparts luxurious complexity to the already smooth Basil Hayden character, elevating it with layers of dried fruit, warm caramel sweetness, subtle spice, and hints of vanilla and oak.

Each sip delivers a refined flavor profile with notes of caramel, dried fruit, and a gentle warmth characteristic of high-rye bourbons. The cognac cask influence adds a rich elegance and depth that sets this expression apart from the classic Basil Hayden lineup, making it an excellent choice for bourbon enthusiasts seeking a more complex, finish-forward pour.

Basil Hayden is part of the Jim Beam portfolio and is known for its signature high-rye mash bill that produces a lighter, spicier bourbon style. The Cognac Cask Reserve builds on that foundation with an additional maturation step in French cognac barrels, bridging American bourbon tradition with European winemaking craft. Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate the layered finish.
