Merryvale Vineyards St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 750ML

Merryvale Vineyards St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon is a single-estate red wine from Napa Valley, crafted from grapes grown on Merryvale's St. Helena Estate Vineyard, situated on an eastern ridge overlooking the Napa Valley at nearly 1,000 feet elevation. The vineyard was replanted under the direction of Michel Rolland and David Abreu and is renowned for producing grapes with plush fruit character, complexity, and silky tannins.

The wine is a blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon, with handpicked grapes undergoing extended skin contact before native and inoculated primary fermentation and native malolactic fermentation. It is aged for approximately 22 months in new French oak barrels, resulting in a structured, age-worthy wine built for the cellar.

Tasting notes highlight intense aromas and flavors of dried raspberry, cassis, blueberry, boysenberry, plum, camphor, smoke, coffee, cedar, and Asian spices. The palate shows a dense core of fruit, sweet but serious tannins, and excellent long-term aging potential of ten to twenty years or more. Decanting is recommended when the wine is young.
