Quintessa is a prestigious proprietary red blend from a 160-acre estate in eastern Rutherford, Napa Valley, founded over thirty years ago by Agustin and Valeria Huneeus. The estate is bounded by the Vaca Mountains and the Napa River, farmed using certified organic and Biodynamic practices across 26 individual vineyard blocks, each hand-harvested and vinified separately before blending.

The wine unfurls with lifted, complex aromatics of ripe plum and red and black cherries, giving way to herbal and spice notes underpinned by tobacco and dark chocolate. On the palate, plush dark fruit leads into savory, earth-bound notes of iron and crushed rocks, with cassis and cocoa woven throughout. The signature firm yet fine-grained tannins frame the medium body, while bright acidity provides lively freshness and a long, lingering finish. Each vintage is aged in new French oak for up to two years before blending, then aged an additional year in bottle before release.
