Justin Vineyards & Winery Justification is a premium red blend from Paso Robles, California, crafted in the spirit of Right-Bank Bordeaux by blending Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The wine delivers a complex expression of herbs, red fruit, and elegant structure, elevated by the full, mature fruit character that Paso Robles is known for. Available at Costco in cases of 6 or 12 bottles at a value well below the typical retail price.

The wine displays a bright, deep ruby core with ruby garnet at the rim and slow-forming, persistent tears. On the nose, it is highly aromatic with black cherry, pomegranate, and red plum, complemented by notes of vanilla, new leather, pencil shavings, and oak. On the palate it is moderate-plus bodied with ripe blackberry, baked strawberry, and juicy plum on entry, evolving into a savory midpalate with fine tannins and notes of leather, dried oregano, wild sage, and white rose petal with dusty terracotta. The finish is long and intricate, with sweet tobacco, vanilla bean, oak, licorice, and a lingering note of camphor.

The wine is fermented in stainless steel open and closed-top tanks using UV43 yeast with twice-daily pump-overs, then aged for 18 months in 100% French oak with 51% new barrels. Alcohol content is 15.0%. It pairs well with herb-crusted pork loin, pan-seared duck breast, or a classic gourmet burger.
