The Dyson AM09 Hot + Cool is a dual-function fan heater that provides year-round comfort, heating in winter and cooling in summer. It features Dyson's patented Air Multiplier technology which amplifies surrounding air to project more than 49 gallons per second of smooth, uninterrupted airflow without fast-spinning blades or visible heating elements.

The AM09 includes Jet Focus control with two modes: Jet Focus mode channels a powerful jet of air for long-range circulation, while Diffused mode heats the room quickly and evenly. The ceramic heating plates heat up fast and use less energy than standard convection heaters. The unit is 75% quieter than previous models and has earned Quiet Mark accreditation.

Additional features include a programmable sleep timer (15 minutes to 9 hours), thermostatic control with temperature range of 0-37°C, ten distinct intensity levels, and 70° oscillation. The magnetized curved remote control stores neatly on the unit. Safety features include automatic shut-off if tipped over. The unit stands 595mm tall, weighs 2.6kg, and has a 2000W power rating.
