Frans Hals is a premium aged goat cheese from Holland, part of the award-winning A Dutch Masterpiece collection crafted and imported by FrieslandCampina. Made from 100% pasteurized goat's milk, this Gouda-style cheese is naturally matured for up to six months to develop its characteristic creamy texture, full-bodied taste, and delicate aroma. It rates 3 out of 5 on the flavor intensity scale, placing it in mild-to-medium territory with a gentle nuttiness and subtle tanginess that distinguishes it from cow's milk varieties.
The cheese slices cleanly and pairs beautifully with fruits, nuts, crackers, and charcuterie boards. It melts smoothly over dishes, works well in salads and sandwiches, and is equally enjoyable on its own. Sold at Costco priced per pound in random weight pieces of approximately 1.1 lbs each, it represents excellent value for a premium imported Dutch specialty cheese. Keep refrigerated.
