A professionally grown fruit tree sold in a #15 nursery container (15 inches in diameter, approximately 11 gallons of growing medium). These are mature, established trees standing 5–12 feet tall at time of sale, sourced from specialty nurseries including Brookdale Treeland, Van Belle, and Darvonda. Available varieties rotate seasonally by region and may include stone fruits such as peach, nectarine, plum, and cherry, as well as apple, pear, fig, persimmon, and select citrus types.

Trees arrive with fully developed root systems and branching structure, providing a significant head start over bare-root or smaller-container alternatives. Each tree is grafted onto rootstock suited for home garden performance; the graft union should remain above soil level when planting. Trees grow best in full sun locations receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

To plant, dig a hole twice the width of the container and position the tree at the same depth it was growing. Backfill with a mix of native soil and organic compost, water deeply, and maintain consistent moisture during establishment. Apply a nitrogen-rich organic fertilizer during the growing season to support healthy growth. Most varieties require 2–3 years of establishment before producing a significant harvest. Outdoor trees benefit from natural pollinators; indoor or patio citrus may require hand pollination.
