Orri Mandarins are a premium Israeli citrus variety, sometimes called "Jaffa Orri" or the "mandarin king," developed at the Volcani Center in Bet Dagan, Israel. These late-season mandarins arrive when most other mandarin varieties have finished their season, typically available from winter through spring.

Each mandarin is small to medium in size, round to slightly oblate, with a bright orange, thin, and easy-to-peel skin. The flesh is virtually seedless, divided into 12 to 14 tender, juicy segments with an exceptionally high sugar content of 14 to 15 degrees Brix balanced by low acidity, producing a sweet, subtly tart flavor. Peeling releases a vibrant, zesty citrus aroma.

Orri Mandarins are excellent for fresh snacking, juicing, or adding to salads, slaws, smoothies, and desserts. They pair well with avocado, pineapple, ginger, feta, and fresh herbs. Store unpeeled at room temperature for a few days or refrigerate for up to two weeks.

Orri Mandarins are a good source of vitamin C, potassium, vitamin A, calcium, fiber, and folate.
