Vincent Girardin Bourgogne Rouge "Cuvée Saint-Vincent" is a classic Burgundy red wine crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Bourgogne appellation in eastern France. Named in honor of Saint Vincent, the patron saint of Burgundian winegrowers, this wine reflects the elegant, terroir-driven style that has made Maison Vincent Girardin a celebrated name in Burgundy.
Maison Vincent Girardin was founded in 1980 by Vincent Girardin, the son of a family of winegrowers in Santenay with roots dating to the 17th century. Beginning with just five inherited acres, Girardin earned international recognition for his Côte de Beaune wines. In 2012, he sold the operation to Jean-Pierre Nié and the Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois in Beaune, with winemaker Eric Germain continuing to uphold the Maison's standards. The wine is imported to the United States by Vineyard Brands.
The Cuvée Saint-Vincent Rouge offers an elegant nose of small red fruits — blackcurrant, raspberry, and strawberry — with subtle earthy undertones of leather and a hint of oak and vanilla. On the palate, the wine delivers a supple, welcoming entry with silky tannins and bright acidity, finishing with good structure and length. Vivino users rate it 3.8 out of 5 from over 3,400 ratings, with the 2019 vintage placing among the top 3% of all wines in the world. The wine pairs beautifully with beef, veal, poultry, and game such as venison. Alcohol content: 13%. Contains sulfites.
