Grapes are sourced primarily from Rodney's Vineyard at the Fess Parker Home Ranch and Camp Four Vineyard, then aged approximately 21 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels from top cooperages including Meyrieux, Mercurey, Seguin Moreau, and Boswell. The oak treatment contributes nuances of toasted spice and subtle vanilla without overwhelming the wine's fruit-forward character. The wine carries approximately 14.9% alcohol by volume.
