Wild Chilean Sea Bass, also known as Patagonian Toothfish, sold fresh from the seafood counter after being previously frozen to preserve quality. This premium white fish features a rich, buttery flavor and delicate, flaky texture often compared to scallops. The fish is wild-caught and MSC Certified Sustainable Seafood, sourced exclusively from approved fisheries including Macquarie Island, Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and Heard and McDonald Islands. Each portion is fully traceable back to the specific vessel that caught it.
Chilean sea bass is prized by chefs for its high fat content, which makes it incredibly forgiving to cook and yields moist, tender results. The thick fillets sear beautifully and can be prepared like a steak, developing a golden crust while staying succulent inside. Versatile preparation options include pan-searing, baking, broiling, or grilling.
