Mer Soleil Silver is a pure, unoaked expression of Chardonnay from Mer Soleil winery, part of the Wagner Family of Wines. Sourced from the cool coastal vineyards of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation within Monterey County, California, this wine is shaped by morning fog, intense sunshine, and gusting afternoon breezes that extend the growing season and concentrate fruit character.

Unlike most Chardonnays, Mer Soleil Silver never sees the inside of an oak barrel. Instead, it is fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel tanks and small concrete tanks imported from Burgundy, France. This approach preserves the grape's natural vibrancy and expresses the terroir directly. The result is a fresh, clean wine with aromas of creamy citrus, ripe pear, green apple, and a distinct minerality reminiscent of wet granite. On the palate, it is round and layered with bright acidity, tropical fruit notes of pineapple and passionfruit, and a long, refreshing finish.

Mer Soleil Silver has earned consistent praise from critics, including a 90-point rating from Wine Spectator. It pairs well with seafood, poultry, light pasta dishes, and fresh cheeses.
