Seghesio Family Vineyards Cortina Zinfandel is a single-vineyard expression from Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, California. The heart of this wine comes from Chen's Vineyard, planted in 1972 by fourth-generation Ted Seghesio and his father Ed along the creek, where sandy, gravelly loam soils produce exceptional Zinfandel. Morning fog and prevailing afternoon breezes from marine influence allow Cortina grapes to benefit from longer hang times, developing remarkable complexity and balance.

This wine opens with aromas of briary black raspberry, lavender, and graham cracker crust. On the palate, supple velvety tannins frame vibrant red fruit character with a subtle hint of cocoa powder that carries through the mid-palate, finishing with richness and a touch of spice.
