Calera Ryan Vineyard Pinot Noir from the Mt. Harlan AVA in San Benito County, California. Ryan Vineyard was planted in 1998 and named after Jim Ryan, Calera's vineyard manager since 1979. Situated at an average elevation of 2,200 feet, it is among the highest and coolest vineyard sites in California, selected specifically for its limestone soils and ideal climate.

This single-vineyard Pinot Noir is bright with lively red fruit and distinctive Mt. Harlan minerality. Tasting notes for recent vintages highlight aromas of Rainier cherry, sage, and white pepper, with palate layers of blackberry, Bing cherry, and sarsaparilla supported by sleek, age-worthy tannins. The wine has received strong critical acclaim, including 96 points from Wine Spectator (2021 vintage) and 94 points from Wine Enthusiast (2018 vintage).
