J. Davies Cabernet Sauvignon is an estate-grown red wine from Davies Vineyards, sourced from the Diamond Mountain District of Napa Valley — one of California's most prestigious hillside appellations. The winery farms 46 acres across four isolated vineyard pockets ranging from 500 to 1,000 feet in elevation, including historic blocks first planted as far back as 1862. Flanked by two cool creek canyons and surrounded by forest, these southernmost Diamond Mountain sites yield deeply concentrated fruit at just two tons per acre on average.

The wine offers captivating aromas of boysenberry, vanilla, and dark chocolate with hints of black raspberry purée and coffee. On the palate, lush red and black fruits — blackberry and cherry — mingle with layers of star anise, baking spice, tobacco, and wild thyme. The blend is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (approximately 86%) with the addition of Malbec and Petit Verdot. It is aged 28 months in French oak (75–77% new) and carries an alcohol level of approximately 14.7%. The 2021 vintage received 96 points from Jeb Dunnuck, with praise for its polished tannins and potential to age 20 or more years.
