This travel-friendly water filter straw allows you to drink directly from lakes, rivers, and streams, making contaminated water safe to drink and preventing most waterborne diseases.

Each ultralight LifeStraw weighs only 1.6 ounces (46 grams) and measures 9 x 1.2 inches, making it easy to pack anywhere. The long-lasting membrane microfilter uses hollow fiber microfiltration technology with a 0.2 micron pore size to filter up to 1,000 gallons (4,000 liters) of water, enough drinking water to last an individual for over 5 years. The filter protects against 99.999999% of bacteria (including E.coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, and Vibrio cholera), 99.999% of parasites (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium), and 99.999% of microplastics, while also reducing turbidity, dirt, sand, and cloudiness.

The LifeStraw has an unlimited shelf life and has been rigorously tested to meet US EPA and NSF P231 drinking water standards for the removal of bacteria and parasites.
