Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay is the winery's flagship white wine, primarily sourced from their Gamble Ranch property in the Oakville AVA of Napa Valley. This full-bodied, oak-influenced Chardonnay showcases the classic California style with rich, tropical fruit flavors balanced by bright acidity.

The wine displays aromas of hazelnut and grilled pineapple, followed by lush tropical fruits with hints of lemon curd, caramelized citrus, and toasted nuts. Each vineyard lot is kept separate throughout the winemaking process, with the wine aged for 9 months in 88% new French oak. Full malolactic fermentation occurs, and the lees are stirred weekly to enrich the texture and create a creamy, polished mouthfeel. Only the finest lots are selected for this Private Reserve bottling.

On the palate, expect complex flavors of cooked apples, lemon pie, crème brûlée, golden apple, and hints of flowers and minerals, finishing with a lengthy, elegant conclusion accented by barrel spice and oak. The wine has received critical acclaim, with scores ranging from 91-97 points from publications including James Suckling, Jeb Dunnuck, and Wine Spectator.
