Guado al Tasso is the acclaimed flagship red wine from Tenuta Guado al Tasso, a 320-hectare estate owned by the historic Marchesi Antinori family, situated in the prestigious Bolgheri DOC appellation along the Tuscan coast approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Florence. The estate's defining geographic feature is the Bolgheri Amphitheater—a sweeping plain encircled by rolling hillsides facing the Tyrrhenian Sea—which creates a unique microclimate where constant sea breezes moderate summer heat, maintain elevated sunlight exposure, and ensure ideal ripening conditions for the vines.

The wine is a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and occasionally a small amount of Petit Verdot, drawn from vineyards planted on alluvial soils ranging from sandy-clay to silty-clay with fine gravel deposits known locally as "scheletro." Each vineyard parcel is harvested and fermented separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 18–25 days, after which the wine completes malolactic fermentation in barrique and ages in new French oak until bottling. The final blend is selected from the estate's finest blocks, a tradition maintained since the wine's first vintage in 1990.

The wine pours an intense ruby red and presents a nose of ripe plums, blackberries, and blackcurrants intertwined with tobacco, licorice root, and a lift of fresh mint. On the palate, it offers a dense, mouth-filling tannic texture with exceptional depth through the mid-palate and a long, refined finish. Highly regarded by international critics including Wine Spectator, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, James Suckling, and Jeb Dunnuck, Guado al Tasso is suitable for immediate enjoyment while also possessing excellent long-term aging potential. Sold in cases of 6 bottles.
