Willett Pot Still Reserve is a premium Kentucky straight bourbon produced by the Willett Distilling Company in Bardstown, Kentucky โ a family-owned distillery with a heritage of craft whiskey-making dating back to the mid-1800s. This Costco offering is a six-bottle pack of 750 ML bottles, each bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). The bourbon is aged for eight to ten years, allowing complex flavors to develop in the barrel before bottling.
The bourbon is perhaps as well known for its striking bottle as for the liquid inside. Each bottle is shaped to resemble the traditional copper pot still used at the Willett Distillery for generations. Every individual bottle is hand-sealed with a label identifying the specific aging barrel, the bottle number within that barrel's series, and the total number of bottles produced from that barrel, making each one a unique collectible.
Willett Pot Still Reserve earned the Gold Medal for taste and the Double Gold Medal for design at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. On the nose it delivers soft notes of vanilla, coconut, brown sugar, and a hint of cinnamon. The palate offers warm caramel, butterscotch, mild coffee, and gently layered spice, leading into a rich, smooth finish with lingering sweetness and dry oak.
