Wild coho salmon is hand-caught in the pristine waters of Southeast Alaska and processed at family-operated, dockside facilities. Often called the "goldilocks" of Alaska salmon, coho features a medium oil content that suits almost all palates and flavor combinations, making it a favorite among restaurants and chefs. This fresh wild-caught salmon provides consistent 6-8 oz portions perfect for individual servings.
Coho salmon is rich in healthy omega-3 fatty acids including DHA and EPA, which support heart and brain health. The fish has a firm, moist texture with a delicate pink to reddish color and mild flavor that's less intense than sockeye. It's excellent for grilling, baking, pan-searing, or broiling. Wild-caught Alaska salmon is sustainably harvested by independent Alaska fishermen under strict state regulations.
Fresh wild coho should be stored in the coldest part of your refrigerator and consumed within 1-2 days of purchase for optimal quality. Cook to an internal temperature of 145°F at the thickest part for food safety.
