Fresh Wild Pacific Halibut fillet sold per pound with an average weight of 2 lbs per piece. This premium flatfish is wild-caught from Pacific waters and arrives fresh, not previously frozen. Pacific halibut is prized for its mild, sweet flavor and firm, flaky white flesh that holds up well to various cooking methods including grilling, baking, and pan-searing.
Pacific halibut is an excellent source of high-quality protein, providing approximately 42 grams of protein per cooked half-fillet serving. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids with about 1.1 grams per serving, which supports heart health by helping lower triglycerides and reduce inflammation. The fish is exceptionally high in selenium, providing over 100% of daily needs per serving, which acts as a powerful antioxidant and supports thyroid function. Additional nutrients include niacin (57% daily value), phosphorus (45% daily value), magnesium (42% daily value), vitamin B12 (36% daily value), and vitamin B6 (32% daily value). These nutrients support heart health, bone formation, energy metabolism, red blood cell formation, and nervous system function.
Wild Pacific halibut is low to moderate in mercury content and considered safe to eat in moderate amounts. Each fillet is vacuum-sealed in cryovac packaging to preserve freshness and quality.
