Sanford Estate Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills is a classic California Pinot Noir sourced from two of Sanford's historic estate vineyards: the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard and La Rinconada. Both vineyards sit in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation, one of California's premier cool-climate wine regions renowned for producing elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir.

This wine is a blend of eight different Pinot Noir selections grown across multiple soil types, bringing complexity and depth to the final blend. It was aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, contributing subtle notes of toasty vanilla and baking spices. The wine opens with aromas of red fruits, white pepper, and dried flowers, with a palate of ripe raspberry, cherry, pomegranate, cinnamon, and nutmeg, finishing with a racy, lifted quality. Wine Spectator awarded the 2022 vintage 90 points, noting "fresh mulberry and cherry fruit brings nice lift, with light iris and rose petal notes darting through on the racy finish." The wine is approachable now and will continue to develop through 2026.
