Penfolds Grange is Australia's most celebrated and iconic red wine, officially designated a Heritage Icon of South Australia. This full-bodied Shiraz is the most powerful expression of Penfolds' renowned multi-vineyard, multi-region blending philosophy, drawing fruit from premier South Australian wine regions including the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, and Clare Valley.

The wine is crafted predominantly from Shiraz with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for approximately 20 months in new American oak hogsheads. On the nose, it delivers complex layers of dark fruits—black cherry, blackberry, and plum—interwoven with dark chocolate, cracked black pepper, roasting spices, bay leaf, and a polished gleam of well-integrated oak. The palate is powerful yet dignified, with a sculpted shape, fine chalky tannins, abundant blackcurrant and charcoal notes, and a long, persistent finish.

Grange is a wine designed for long-term cellaring, with an estimated drinking window extending from the late 2020s through the 2060s. It represents an unbroken line of vintages dating back to the experimental 1951 vintage, demonstrating the enduring synergy between Shiraz and the soils and climates of South Australia.
