Wild Ling Cod is a premium white fish sourced from the Pacific Northwest, known for its mild, slightly sweet flavor and firm, meaty texture with large, moist flakes. This previously frozen fillet is sold by the pound and offers exceptional versatility in the kitchen. Lingcod has a distinctive thick fillet that holds up exceptionally well to various cooking methods including grilling, baking, pan-searing, poaching, and steaming. The fish's firm texture makes it particularly suitable for high-heat preparations while maintaining its tender, flaky consistency.
This wild-caught fish is an outstanding nutritional choice, providing approximately 22 grams of lean protein per 100 grams with only about 87 calories and less than 1 gram of fat. Lingcod is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, offering twice as much as Atlantic Cod, which supports heart health, reduces inflammation, and promotes healthy cholesterol levels. The fish is also an excellent source of essential nutrients including vitamin B12 for energy production and nerve health, vitamin D for bone health and immune function, selenium as a powerful antioxidant, and high levels of phosphorous and potassium.

Its lean composition means it takes sauces well while having enough natural oil content to stay moist and flaky during cooking. For best results, thaw the fillet in the refrigerator overnight, pat dry with paper towels, season as desired, and cook to an internal temperature of 145ยฐF.
