Keenan Winery Chardonnay from the Spring Mountain District of Napa Valley. This 100% Chardonnay is hand harvested, de-stemmed, and gently pressed, then fermented and aged in French and American oak barrels with weekly lees stirring. No malolactic fermentation is carried out, resulting in a crisp, citrus-driven character.

The finished wine shows citrus, ripe pear, and green apple on the nose with hints of lush white peach as it opens up. Sur-lie aging adds richness and complexity with a touch of toasty oak on the finish. Medium- to full-bodied, focused and fresh on the palate with a silky texture and balanced, layered fruit character. 13.9% ABV, dry, with 0.75 g/100ml total acidity. Production of 1,325 cases from the Spring Mountain District appellation.

The 2022 vintage received 93 points from James Suckling. Robert Keenan founded the winery in 1974 on 180 acres at 1,700 feet elevation in the Spring Mountain District, with the first harvest in 1977. The winery is recognized by Napa Valley Vintners as solar powered and sustainably farmed.
