Stag's Leap Wine Cellars AVETA Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant white wine crafted from fruit grown in the alluvial soils of estate vineyards and other exceptional Napa Valley sites. AVETA is named for a water goddess often depicted carrying fruit, expressing the wine's bright fruit flavors and minerality.

The wine is a unique blend of 69% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Sauvignon Musque (a clonal variant of Sauvignon Blanc), 4% Semillon, and 3% Muscat Canelli. Most fruit comes from Oak Knoll District vineyards including Danika Ranch estate vineyard, Bravo Zulu, and Ryan's Vineyard, contributing spicy peach, guava, and grapefruit notes. A quarter of the fruit comes from Rancho Chimiles Vineyard in Wooden Valley, a family-owned farm that has provided fruit to Stag's Leap Wine Cellars for over 50 years.

Fermentation occurs at cool temperatures using 70% stainless steel and 30% neutral French oak barrels. The wine is aged on light lees for six months with bi-monthly stirring to contribute a smoother texture. The result is a wine with enticing aromas of lemongrass, kiwi, tangerine, grapefruit juice, guava, dried herbs, and a hint of wet straw. Bright, refreshing acidity showcases vibrant citrus and mineral notes culminating in a beautifully savory and elegant finish. 13.0% alcohol by volume.
