Wild-caught deep-sea red crab cocktail claws from the species Chaceon quinquedens, harvested from depths of 2,000 feet off the Atlantic continental shelf. These fully cooked claws feature a naturally sweet flavor comparable to snow crab, with tender yet slightly firm white meat and a distinctive red exterior similar to lobster.
The product is ready to eat and ideal served chilled with cocktail sauce, melted butter, or lemon wedges. For warm service, steam thawed claws over boiling water for 4-6 minutes. Avoid overheating as the product is already fully cooked. Storage requires keeping frozen until ready to use, with thawed portions consumed within two days.
Deep-sea red crab is an excellent source of high-quality protein while being naturally low in fat and free of carbohydrates. It provides omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B12, zinc, and selenium. The fishery is certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council with an annual quota of 3.95 million pounds.
