Alaskan Smoked Porter is a specialty release smoked beer (rauchbier) first developed in 1988, credited with helping inspire an American revival of smoked beers. This limited edition porter features a dark, robust body with pronounced smoky flavor achieved by smoking selected malts in small batches using local Alaska alder wood. The beer is brewed with five types of malt, two varieties of hops, and pristine Juneau water, with no adjuncts, preservatives, or pasteurization.

Produced in limited vintages each year on November 1, this porter may be aged in the bottle much like fine wine. At 6.5% ABV with 45 IBU and 92 SRM color rating, it delivers rich flavors of smoked malt, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and campfire smoke with subtle notes of roasted nuts and bacon. The taste profile includes charred pizza crust, very smoky ham, and hints of black olives and cedar on the finish.
