The Argyle Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a celebrated Oregon red wine from Argyle Winery, located in Dundee, Oregon — the heart of the Willamette Valley's world-class Pinot Noir country. The "(DE)" designation reflects the wine's connection to Argyle's Dundee Estate vineyards in the storied Dundee Hills sub-appellation. This 750ml bottle is sold by the case (12 bottles) at Costco.
This wine highlights the elegance and complexity of the Willamette Valley AVA, showcasing the purity of fruit and lively texture the region has to offer. Sourced from signature Willamette Valley vineyards, it offers vibrant red fruit — particularly cherry, cranberry, and briary raspberry — along with sweet pea florals, orange peel, black tea, and dusky spice accents. Delicate fermentation and gentle pressing contribute to the wine's silky mouthfeel. Fresh, vibrant acidity and polished tannins frame the flavors with precise and persistent length.
Argyle Winery, founded in 1987, is the only winery in Willamette Valley to produce wines consistently rated by Wine Spectator as Top 100 Wines of the World across three categories: red, white, and sparkling. This bottling has earned 92 Points from Wine Spectator and 90 Points from Wine Enthusiast. Alcohol by volume: 13.8%. Best enjoyed now through 2032, and pairs well with salmon, duck confit, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses.
