Piccini Sasso al Poggio Rosso Toscana IGT is a Super Tuscan red wine blend of 60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet, and 20% Merlot from the Tuscany wine region of Italy. The name "Sasso al Poggio" translates to "a stone on a hill," referencing the mountainous Tuscan landscape with its clay and fragmented rock soil where the grapes are grown.

The wine is crafted from a selection of the best bunches of grapes and matured for 12 months in oak barrels followed by 4 months in bottle. Tasting notes include black cherries, licorice, forest substrate, minerals, and vanilla tones of oak wood. It is deep, full, and juicy with a fruity base, beautifully integrated tannins, and a long, complex finish. The wine has 14.0% alcohol by volume.

Sasso al Poggio pairs ideally with game dishes and ripe cheeses, and also complements grilled meats.
