Schug Winery's Carneros Pinot Noir is a medium-bodied California red wine sourced from the cool-climate Carneros appellation straddling the southern ends of Sonoma and Napa counties. The wine blends fruit from multiple vineyards including the Schug Estate, Ricci, Sangiacomo, and Brown sites, each contributing to the wine's expressive character and regional authenticity.

The wine opens with a deep garnet color and a rich bouquet of cherries, ripe berries, and a hint of spicy new oak. On the palate, flavors of bright cherry, currant, strawberry, orange peel, cocoa, and cinnamon unfold with a smooth, spicy texture and a long, elegant finish. Fermentation takes place over 6–8 days in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in 800-gallon oak casks for approximately two months, then an additional nine months in 60-gallon French oak barrels with medium toast and roughly 21% new oak. The result is a structured yet approachable Pinot Noir with the hallmark silkiness of the Carneros region.

This wine pairs well with roasted lamb, duck, and grilled salmon, and has the structure to reward 2–5 additional years of cellaring. Approximately 13.8% ABV. 750ml bottle.
