Dominus Estate is a prestigious proprietary red wine from the historic Napanook vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley, California. Founded by Christian Moueix, whose family owns the legendary Château Pétrus in Bordeaux, Dominus represents a seamless fusion of California terroir and Bordeaux winemaking philosophy. The name "Dominus," Latin for "Lord of the Estate," reflects Moueix's sole ownership since 1995 of this exceptional 124-acre vineyard west of Yountville.

The wine is a Bordeaux-style blend typically composed of approximately 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new French oak barrels. It presents a deep garnet-purple hue with an alluring bouquet of candied violets, crème de cassis, blackberry pie, and plum preserves, complemented by secondary notes of licorice, Indian spices, iron ore, and crushed rocks. On the palate, Dominus delivers full-bodied, taut, muscular black fruit layers with gorgeous floral and exotic spice accents.
