Shelburne Vineyard Marquette is a quintessentially Vermont red wine crafted from the cold-hardy Marquette grape, a hybrid variety related to Pinot Noir and perfectly suited to the cold-climate conditions of Vermont's Champlain Valley. Shelburne Vineyard has been pioneering Vermont's wine region since 1998, farming Marquette on all of their vineyards including some of the oldest Marquette vines in the state, planted in 2006.

The wine is aged sur-lie for 8 months in neutral oak barrels. It offers aromas of dried raspberry, black cherry, violets, and herbal tea, leading to a palate of raspberry jam and sandalwood. Medium-bodied and assertive, it finishes with a pleasant punch of pink grapefruit. At 14.8% ABV, this dry red pairs beautifully with alpine cheeses, rustic tomato sauces, and casual dinner gatherings.
