Stag's Leap Wine Cellars KARIA Chardonnay is a graceful white wine from Napa Valley's premier southern vineyards. The name KARIA (KAR-ee-ah) is derived from the Greek word meaning graceful, reflecting the wine's elegant character and seamless integration of fresh-fruit aromas and flavors.

This medium to full-bodied Chardonnay showcases fruit from select cool-climate vineyards in Atlas Peak District (43%), Carneros (32%), Coombsville (14%), and Oak Knoll (11%). The Carneros vineyards, cooled by breezes from San Pablo Bay, contribute citrus and mineral notes, while Oak Knoll provides bright apple and pear personality. Atlas Peak fruit adds lemon-lime citrus character and richer mouthfeel. The wine features fragrant aromas of ripe mango, honeydew melon, and peach, along with hints of key lime pie, apple, citrus, apricot, toasted almonds, and orange blossom. On the palate, expect a silky texture with juicy white peach, ruby grapefruit, and lemon curd flavors, accented by a touch of creamy vanilla spice from 9 months of aging in French oak (35% new, 61% older oak, 4% stainless steel).

The wine has received outstanding professional ratings, with scores of 91-92 points from James Suckling, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
