Fresh wild swordfish is a large predatory ocean fish prized for its firm, meaty texture and bold, mildly sweet flavor that distinguishes it from other seafood. Sold by the pound, this swordfish is wild-caught, offering a natural choice for discerning seafood lovers.
Swordfish is an excellent source of lean protein and is notably rich in vitamin D, selenium, niacin, and omega-3 fatty acids, supporting heart health, immune function, and cognitive performance. Its dense, steak-like flesh holds up exceptionally well to high-heat cooking methods including grilling, broiling, baking, and pan-searing. It pairs beautifully with simple lemon and herb seasonings or bolder preparations such as teriyaki glaze, Mediterranean puttanesca, or citrus marinades. Cook swordfish to an internal temperature of 145°F. Due to its naturally higher mercury content, frequent consumption is not recommended for pregnant women and young children.
