Costco's Fresh Wild Swordfish is a premium seafood offering sold by the pound, sourced wild-caught from the USA. Swordfish (Xiphias gladius) is a large, highly prized ocean fish known for its firm, dense, meaty texture and mildly sweet, rich flavor that sets it apart from other seafood.
The steaks deliver a satisfying, substantial bite that holds up exceptionally well to high-heat cooking methods. Swordfish is an outstanding source of lean protein, selenium, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids, making it one of the more nutrient-dense options available at the seafood counter.
Swordfish steaks are well-suited to grilling, pan-searing, broiling, or baking. The firm flesh does not flake apart during cooking, making it ideal for the grill. A simple preparation of olive oil, lemon, garlic, and fresh herbs complements the natural flavor beautifully. Because the fish is sold fresh, it is best cooked within one to two days of purchase, or vacuum-sealed and frozen immediately upon returning home.
