Fresh wild-caught Coho salmon, sold whole by the pound, sourced from USA waters. Coho salmon (also known as Silver salmon) is prized for its firm, moderately rich flesh with a mild, clean flavor that falls between the bold intensity of Sockeye and the mildness of Atlantic salmon. The flesh ranges from pale pink to deep orange-red depending on diet and origin, and is well-suited for grilling, baking, broiling, pan-searing, or roasting.
As a wild-caught fish from American waters, Coho salmon is free of added dyes or synthetic colorants used in farmed varieties. Wild Coho is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, high-quality protein, and B vitamins including B12, B6, niacin, and pantothenic acid. It also provides selenium, potassium, and phosphorus. Compared to farmed Atlantic salmon, wild Coho is leaner with fewer calories and a cleaner nutritional profile.
Cook to an internal temperature of 145°F per FDA guidelines, or to 120–125°F for medium-rare results that retain moisture and tenderness. Sold fresh at Costco warehouse locations, previously flash-frozen to eliminate parasites per standard seafood handling protocols. Store refrigerated and use within 1–2 days of purchase, or refreeze for longer storage.
