Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Merlot is a classic California Bordeaux-style red wine blended primarily from Merlot (92%) with Cabernet Sauvignon (6%) and Cabernet Franc (2%). The fruit is sourced from certified sustainably grown coastal California vineyards, including Sonoma County mountain and hillside sites and Mendocino County mountain vineyards.

The wine showcases intricate layers of black cherry, plum, currant, and wild berry with a subtle hint of spice. Artisan winemaking techniques including cold soaking and extended maceration are used to enhance and soften the tannins, deepen the color, and intensify the flavors. Soft, elegant tannins carry the aromas and flavors to a silky, lasting finish.
