La Casita Frijoles Peruanos Mayocoba Beans are dry yellow beans (also known as Peruano or canary beans) packed by C&F Foods Inc. in a generous 20-pound (9.07 kg) resealable ZIP-PAK bag. The beans are triple cleaned to remove any foreign materials before packaging, ensuring consistent quality.
Mayocoba beans have a mild, buttery flavor and a creamy, smooth texture when cooked, making them a staple in Mexican and Latin American kitchens. They work well in soups, stews, salads, enchiladas, salsas, dips, and side dishes. One pound of dry beans yields approximately 5 to 6 cups of cooked beans. To prepare, rinse and sort the beans, soak in water (quick or overnight), then simmer covered for 1 to 1.5 hours until tender.
The beans are Non-GMO, gluten-free, and antioxidant rich. The resealable ZIP-PAK bag keeps remaining beans fresh between uses.
