Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine from Napa Valley, California, crafted by winemaker Tony Coltrin, who brings over 50 years of Napa winemaking experience to Oberon. Sold in a case of 12 bottles (750 ml each), this wine exemplifies the depth and character that Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is celebrated for.

Grapes are sourced from premier Napa sub-appellations including Oakville, Oak Knoll, Yountville, Suscol Ridge, Chiles Valley, Pope Valley, and Capell Valley. By layering fruit from Napa's sparse volcanic soils and the deeper alluvial soils of the valley floor, Coltrin achieves a beautifully seamless mouthfeel with rich, complex flavors. The blend pairs Cabernet Sauvignon with complementary varieties such as Merlot, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Petit Verdot. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are de-stemmed, crushed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks with an extended post-fermentation maceration. The wine is then aged 12 months in 45% new French oak barrels with malolactic fermentation, marrying the flavors and tannins into a cohesive whole.

On the palate, this wine offers deep, rich color with supple silky tannins and vibrant flavors of black cherry and candied blackberry, accented by hints of coffee, dark chocolate, and baking spice, all leading to a long, lingering finish. Alcohol content is 13.7% ABV. The 2023 vintage received 97 points from Beverage Dynamics, 93 points from James Suckling, 93 points from The Tasting Panel, and Best of Class at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
