Descendientes de J. Palacios Pétalos del Bierzo is a Spanish red wine from the Bierzo region of northwestern Spain. Produced by the acclaimed estate founded in 1999 by Alvaro Palacios and his nephew Ricardo Perez, this wine is crafted primarily from Mencía grapes (approximately 85%), with small additions of white grapes (10%) and other red varieties (5%). The fruit is sourced from over 90 hectares of old-vine vineyards across the villages of Corullón and surrounding areas, working with approximately 180 small growers.

The wine is fermented with partial whole clusters in a combination of oak and stainless steel vats, then aged in barrels of various sizes for around 10 months. The name "Pétalos" refers to the patchwork of small vineyard parcels that resemble petals of a flower. On the palate, it offers dark fruit, aromatic herbs, and mineral-driven notes with a velvety, approachable texture. The 2022 vintage received 93-point ratings from critics.
