Seghesio Family Vineyards Home Ranch Zinfandel is a single-vineyard red wine from Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California. Built around the original vines planted by founder Edoardo Seghesio in 1895, this wine represents five generations and over 125 years of winemaking heritage. The blend is typically 93% Zinfandel and 7% Petite Sirah, with 15.5% alcohol by volume.

The wine presents intense aromatics of currant and plum complemented by savory notes of black olive, anise, and allspice. A bright entry of briary black raspberry gives way to a bold palate of supple, lively tannins and a powerful, lingering finish. The 2022 vintage earned 94 points from Wine Spectator, while the 2019 vintage received 93 points from Wine & Spirits, which described it as a muscular wine with a lasting mineral essence tied to the intensity and concentration of old-vine fruit.

This Zinfandel pairs well with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, braised short ribs, pork belly, stews, grilled vegetables, and gnocchi gorgonzola. The wine is built to age for a decade or more.
