Dry Creek Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a benchmark California white wine sourced from the winery's estate and partner vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley appellation of Sonoma County, California. The winery was founded in 1972 by David S. Stare, who was the first person to plant Sauvignon Blanc in Dry Creek Valley—against expert advice—and helped establish the region as a premier destination for this varietal. Today, the winery is led by his daughter, Winery President Kim Stare Wallace, and remains a standard bearer for Sauvignon Blanc in California. The wine draws inspiration from the dry white wines of France's Loire Valley.
This elegant, full-bodied, and aromatic wine features distinctive clonal selections of Sauvignon Musqué and Sauvignon Gris that lend added dimension and depth. Fermented primarily in stainless steel with small amounts of chestnut, acacia, and neutral French oak barrels to impart additional character and nuance. Tasting notes include passionfruit, guava, Meyer lemon, lime, and cucumber, with racy acidity and a full mouthfeel that reflects the unique terroir of Dry Creek Valley. The wine is vegan, gluten-free, and contains no added sugar, and the vineyards are CCSW-certified sustainably farmed.
Pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, grilled chicken, sushi, and grilled vegetables. Sold individually as a 750ML bottle.
