Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva is a classic Spanish red wine from the renowned Rioja DOCa region in Spain. This wine is crafted primarily from Tempranillo grapes with Graciano, sourced from the finest clay-limestone soils of the Rioja Alavesa region. The wine is aged for approximately two years in American oak casks, producing a fresh, fine and elegant classic Rioja style.

The wine displays an intense black-cherry color with excellent depth and minimal evolution. On the nose, it offers very expressive aromas with notes of liquorice, cinnamon and black pepper, complemented by subtle oak influence and concentrated ripe fruit. The palate is fresh and easy to drink with good backbone, lovely polished tannins, and flavors of ripe mulberry, boysenberry, wild thyme, warm spices, mineral and mandarin orange peel. The finish is long and persistent with gentle balsamic notes.

This versatile wine pairs excellently with ham, mild cheeses, casseroles, bean and pulse dishes, poultry, red meat, grills and roasts. Wine Spectator rated recent vintages 90 points, recommending drinking through 2031.
