Orin Swift Papillon is a full-bodied Bordeaux-style red blend from Napa Valley, California, crafted by winemaker Dave Phinney of Orin Swift Cellars. The wine blends the five classic Bordeaux varietals — Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot — and is aged in approximately 50% new French oak barrels.

The palate delivers rich notes of kirsch, black currant, and blackberry, with crunchy, sappy tannins that fill the mid-palate and resolve into warm brown baking spices. Best appreciated after at least one hour of decanting in large Bordeaux stems at cellar temperature. It has earned 94 points from Decanter magazine and pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, and hard cheeses.
