Ramey Cellars Fort Ross-Seaview Chardonnay is a 100% Chardonnay sourced exclusively from the Martinelli Charles Ranch vineyard, located three miles from the Pacific Ocean at 1,115 feet elevation in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA of Sonoma Coast. The vineyard was originally planted in 1982 by George Hastings Charles in Goldridge sandstone and Josephine shale soils, using Clone 4 and Old Wente selections.

The wine is whole cluster pressed for delicacy, with native-yeast fermentation and full native malolactic fermentation in barrel with sur lies batonnage. It is aged for 12 months in 10% new French oak barrels from Francois Freres and Demptos, traditionally fined for clarity and texture, and bottled unfiltered. The wine is 14% ABV and is produced with practicing organic farming methods.

The 2023 vintage received a 96-point score from James Suckling, 94+ from Wine Advocate, and 94 from Wine Spectator, with tasting notes highlighting crisp apple, tangy lime, minerals, chalk, and lemon zest on a signature creamy texture. Production was 3,429 cases.
