Ghost Block Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium Napa Valley red wine sourced from the organically farmed Rock Cairn Vineyard in the Oakville AVA, one of the most prestigious growing appellations in California. The 2022 vintage is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot, crafted under the direction of winemaker Kristi Koford and aged 24 months in French oak (60% new). The Pelissa family has farmed Napa Valley vineyards for over 100 years as 5th generation grape-growers, and all vineyards are certified organically farmed.

The 2022 growing season featured a warm, dry summer with an intense heat wave in early September that accelerated ripening and yielded deeply concentrated fruit with remarkable structure. Rock Cairn Vineyard contains seven distinct blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon ranging from 4 to 39-year-old plantings in deep, gravelly loam soil with a western exposure. The wine presents a deep, dark crimson hue with full-bodied viscosity. The nose opens with pronounced aromas of blackberry, black currant, and plum, with hints of blueberry and mocha powder, complemented by secondary notes of baking spices, oak, and brown sugar. The palate is bold yet refined, with silky tannins and balanced acidity, showcasing rich dark fruit flavors intertwined with cocoa, violet florals, and subtle allspice.

The finish is long and elegant, a direct reflection of the wine's 24 months in French oak. Approachable now, this wine is also built to age gracefully. Limited production of 3,750 six-bottle packs. 14.7% ABV.
