DeLille Cellars D2 is a classic Bordeaux-style red blend from Washington State's Columbia Valley, produced by one of the region's most acclaimed wineries. The D2 takes its name from the "grand route du vin," the great wine road that winds through the historic chateau country of Bordeaux, reflecting the winery's commitment to crafting wines in the tradition of the great French blends.

Always led by Merlot, the 2022 vintage is composed of 56% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Fruit is sourced from over a dozen of Washington State's most prestigious vineyards across the Columbia Valley, showcasing the breadth and depth of the appellation's terroir. On the nose, the wine opens with layers of black cherry, ripe plum, and cassis, accented by hints of cedar, tobacco, and crushed graphite. The palate is supple and structured, with silky tannins, notes of dark cocoa, dried sage, and baking spice, leading to a long finish of polished acidity and lingering blackcurrant and espresso.

Originally created as a second wine to DeLille Cellars' flagship Chaleur Estate, D2 has grown to become the winery's most sought-after label since its debut vintage in 1992. The 2022 vintage earned 92 points from Vinous and has received recognition from James Suckling, Decanter, and Jeb Dunnuck.
