Santa Ema Cabernet Reserve is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Chile's prestigious Maipo Valley, one of the country's most celebrated wine regions and a benchmark for the variety. Produced by Viña Santa Ema, the wine is estate bottled and imported by Pacific Highway Wines & Spirits. Each 750 mL bottle contains 13.5% alcohol by volume.
The wine is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 8 to 10 months, imparting subtle structure while preserving the vibrant fruit character. Ruby red in color, it opens with aromas of ripe red fruits including cherries and prunes, interwoven with notes of menthol, tobacco, and a gentle hint of toast. On the palate, flavors of blackberry, plum, and black currant come forward alongside fresh, juicy red fruit and a light touch of spice. Tannins are ripe and smooth, leading into a dry, long finish with a pleasant oak accent.
This is a medium-bodied, fresh, and well-structured Cabernet Sauvignon with a residual sugar level of 3.19 g/L. It is an excellent companion for grilled red meats, well-seasoned dishes, and aged cheeses, and is widely regarded as an outstanding everyday value wine from Chile.
