Il Poggione Rosso di Montalcino is a Sangiovese-based red wine from the Montalcino appellation in Tuscany, Italy, produced under the Rosso di Montalcino DOC designation. It is crafted by Tenuta Il Poggione, one of the oldest and most celebrated estates in the region and one of the original three producers of Brunello di Montalcino.

Often described as a "baby Brunello," this wine is made from 100% Sangiovese sourced from the estate's younger vineyards — the same grape and terroir as the prestigious Brunello, but approachable earlier in its life. The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak casks and barriques before release, lending structure and complexity while softening the tannins. It pours a medium ruby and offers an earthy, floral nose with flavors of black cherry, plum, balsamic, and hints of mocha and cocoa. Medium to full in body with firm, polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a lasting finish. Alcohol content is 14.5%.
